Home league match played on 06 December 2014.
Kicked off at 9:45 AM

A frost overnight put the game in doubt, but the pitch was in good condition by kick off.

Final score was 6-0, 3-0 up at half time...a few opportunities to
score before taking the lead after about 15 mins...it was quite a slow
start by the boys, but once they got the first then they started to
play with purpose. Ie ball was moving quicker and decisions were being
made earlier.
First goal through ball from RD for ON to run on and score..
>> Second GW inter changes of pass with TH and ran through to hit it early
>> into the goal..
>> Third - JW clever turn and shot was saved but followed up by
>> EHE. This was after JC battled to win the ball off opposition
>> defense.
>> JF made it 'four'. He ran down the wing, but his endeavour with
>> no-one elsa to pass to, created an opportunity to run in on goal and
>> smash it home
>> Fifth was a GW shot that JW followed in to score.
>> Sixth was a long range free kick by EH.
>>
>> Not our best performance this season. Our play
>> was too slow to begin with and too many passes that needed the ball to
>> be under control first. However, finishing was cold and calculated
>> given the Aldershot defender.s.no chance. We are far more compact and defensively secure than when we
>> played Aldershot last time round. Aldershot had clever and slippery
>> attackers, but we gave them less space to play in and they were frozen
>> out so we managed to keep a clean sheet. This was due to JR and
>> OK being really switched on whether we had the ball or not. RE
>> motm not due to saves, but more importantly the ownership of the area
>> and confidence he gave his defence.
>>
>> Correction on assists would be helpful as we track this in Teamstats..
>>
>> Largest league win since U8s. Scoreline probably overdue given the
>> possession and opportunities we've created in recent games. 6
>> different scorers, with the last few minutes- players rotated a bit
>> more..2 out of 2 wins for second half of season and 3 win and 2 draws
>> in last 5 league games. Not bad, but plenty of technical development
>> still required.
>>
>> Last game of 2014 (apart from Truce) next weekend. Training will go
>> through to Thurs 18th and I'm assuming restart on 8th.
