The feeling of freezing cold and wet was only slightly surpassed by a
sense of relief at the end.
Slightly outplayed first half by a Vikings team that set us a tough
challenge, particularly with their midfielder proving lethal on the
counter. They had a player sat in front of our back three and seemed to
pick up any ball clear by the fleet defense.
Under pressure, we conceded a number of dangerous corners, eventually
Vikings scored first but the timing of our response was good. A
wonderful freekick from EH left edge of box that he placed into
the top corner.
1-1 half time and no doubt lucky to be level.
Second half we looked much better in possession, some slick passing to
open up the opposition. After a few defensive scares and a bit of a see
saw start, chances came our way and eventually phantoms took the lead
to win 2-1.
