Away league match played on 18 November 2012.
Kicked off at 10:30 AM

REAL DUNDONALD made hard work of what should of been a comfortable win against a lower placed team in the league, no disrespect to OLD WANDLE..... however OLD WANDLE came to win, a very organised side with a fighting spirit and littered with talented footballers.....REAL'S football was patchy in the first half to say the least, and once again a lack of communication and a strange hesitancy to clear danger saw WANDLE go ahead within 20 minutes..... still attemps by AL-MAJALI, INGRAM, GYLES, BLAKEBROUGH (great long-range shot), HARVEY and the impressive (after being out for so long) GRAHAM all coming very close to scoring in a very slow burning game, a well worked free-kick (won by GRAHAM) by GRAHAM and HARVEY, saw HARVEYS left foot drive well defended by WANDLE which deflected for a corner.....games like these are usually crying out for a "special" player to do something special..."up steps Micheal GYLES"...after tidy work from WEEKS and INGRAM down the right side, INGRAMS accurate cross found GYLES lurking with intent inside WANDLE'S box...the rest was a kodak moment we shall say...the kid leaped in the air with great agility and scored a sensational right footed bicycle kick!!!, it is not the first time either...1-1......REAL came in for the H-T break knowing more purpose was needed, more urgency, more possession......the second half saw C. ALDERSON come in at LM...within 5 or 6 minutes WANDLE went ahead again, a good pass from their midfielder finding their number 9 who side-footed home, REAL were caught out by their quick and impressive number 9.... i must say it was a good goal.....REAL now suddenly came to their senses.......C. ALDERSON and the energetic HARVEY inter-changing down the left side of the pitch caused WANDLE all sorts of problems, REAL'S football was better now, passing was kept on the ground, still no break-through, AL-MAJALI was put through by a reverse ball by GYLES but was denied a certain goal by WANDLES recovering CB, great tackle, great timing.........on the hour came the introduction of the "little big man" Ben HAYES.....HAYES being his creative, clever and twinkle-toed self saw REAL'S confidence take a turn for the better, the whole team lifted by his presence, it seemed...... his team-mates always eager to give him the ball...and when he got his foot on the ball the kid was a constant thorn in WANDLES side... after just 5 minutes of coming on HAYES cut in from the right and swung in a deadly cross which GYLES nearly converted, the ball flashing just wide....moments later HAYES dropped the shoulder again on WANDLES LB and swung in another deadlier fizzing cross which was helped on by the quick thinking AL-MAJALI and then converted in the goal by WANDLES helpless CB..2-2..........with 15 minutes to play M. ALDERSON came on for the tireless effort given by AL-MAJALI.......M. ALDERSON with his awareness and great touch played his part in a game which really showed REAL'S "CHARACTER".......M. ALDERSON could have wrapped it all up with 10 minutes left to play, his first time curling shot just going over,  after a fantastic passing team move, the ball passed from the back then forward, going left and right throughout the whole team with ease and finesse, OVER 11 passes..BEAUTIFUL TO WATCH!!!!!!!!!!!.......still M. ALDERSON was on hand to assist the Man-Of-The-Match... Ben "jiiiiimy bullard" HAYES...M. ALDERSONS quick pass to HAYES in the 84th minute, allowed HAYES to half-volley a powerful shot through a determined and packed WANDLE'S defence, the ball nestling in the net nicely.....WANDLES GK had "NO CHANCE"...3-2.............REAL DUNDONALD some might say, "Won Ugly" today.....id say "A Winning Team MUST have character to keep getting the required result"".....7 wins out of 8 is no fluke.......
