Home league match played on 08 September 2012.
Kicked off at 2:30 PM

After the worst start possible, Real looked to bounce back against Broadwater Athletic on a hot Saturday afternoon. Josh and Wells were dropped to the bench with New boy Ed making his first start right mid and Keir coming in for Wells as manager Davies reshuffled his pack.

The first half had few chances with both sides looking for a breakthrough. Kier had a chance with good work from Callum but Trundell's touch letting him down and wasting the chance. Not much more to report with a very hot first half coming to an end at 0-0. It was a much improved first half compared to last week although against weaker opposition with good communication throughout.

The second half started the same as the first half with both sides having possession but not creating. Which led to Davies making a change, youngster Connor coming on for his debut for Ed who had a quiet game. With Real pushing on, Broadwater lofted the ball forward to the lone striker who took advantage of the Real attack to finish past Richie. 0-1. But Real didn't crumble, yet. 5 minutes later, some good team build up play led to the moodiest player on the pitch, Kier Trundell finishing well past the keeper to make it 1-1. I'm going on Steve's words here so don't shoot the messenger. After the equaliser, the back four seemed to be getting sloppy with gaps appearing, not helped by Ben dropping to deep and Tugwell finding it hard in the middle. So Tugwell came off for Wells on 75. After that lazy and sloppy play from Real led to Broadwater adding 2 more late on to make it 1-3. Both stupid goals to concede and we don't need to go over it again.

Well, well. 2 played, 2 lost. That hurts. We had control of this game against one of the weaker teams in our league and we didn't take the chance to get 3 points. From the managers notes, everybody needs to take in what is being said at half time. We have the players to do something in this league, we just need to do the simple things. #RRFC
