Away league match played on 22 September 2012.
Kicked off at 2:30 PM

After a poor start to the season, this was the game that real could finally get off the mark. The gaffer had called a team meeting before hand, he said to forget about the last couple of games and start the season from here.

After a few changes from the manager real started brightly, got a foothold on the game and were stringing a few passes together, actually started to look like the team they were last season. With Joe coming in for the missing Milo, real were creating chances. Scott and Toni coming close and Kier having one cleared off the line.

On 39minutes real were rewarded a free kick, Joe stepped up and put a lovely ball into the box, the keeper fumbled and it went in 0-1 real!

Real grew in confidence coming close again with a strike from Scott being saved.

Northbrook were also playing some good football, after a spell of good passing Northbrook were rewarded a free kick just inside their own half.

The ball was put over the defences heads and as a result from some poor marking the ball fell to a Northbrook striker and he neatly placed the ball past Richard 1-1.

Half time 1-1

The manager made a change at half time bringing Ed off for Alfie, hoping to bring some pace down the wing.

Into the second half the game was back and forth, both teams holding onto the ball well, a few chances here and there but neither team looking like scoring.

Davies decided to make another change bringing off Kier for Dan.

Real started to knock the ball round again, some good team play leading to a corner. Minty took the corner putting in a delightful ball in around the penalty area, Dan volleying the ball into the net 1-2 real!

Still growing in confidence real were passing the ball round neatly, some good play from Anton Josh and Scott leading to another chance.

Another change was made, Joe coming off for Andy on 72minutes adding some extra legs in midfield.

On the 90th minute, after a lovely team move Anton laid the ball through to Scott making him 1 on 1 with the keeper and Scott slotting the ball into the back of the net 1-3 real!

Final score 1-3

Everyone seems to have got their heads back up and started to play some good football. Had a few let offs with the marking on set pieces, but overall a good team performance. Off to Sompting next, will be a tough fixture but if we play like we know we can, there is no reason why we can’t get a good result!
