Away league match played on 09 October 2016.
Kicked off at 10:30 AM

It was certainly one of the most eventful games ever played in the Red and White this one and it ended up with the result at 3-3 being upheld after abandonment on 86 minutes. We arrived at Oasis Academy early doors with no oppo in site and come 11am we finally got the match underway despite the lack of proper nets and a hole in the middle of the pitch. Caterham started on top and had a quick frontline which punished us twice in the opening 20 minutes scoring from close range. Tempers started to flare among the home team which led to Lovell throwing a punch at yours truly landing him a sending off for violent conduct and reducing Reigate to 10 men. The festivities didn't end their despite a pretty tame last 20 minutes of the first half where not much happened at either end.

The second half started and Reigate we reinvigorated and getting back into the match despite the speedy forward getting in and lobbing Ricky about 5 minutes in to the 2nd half. We had nothing to lose by this point and got right back into the match when Mikey was fouled in the box and Rob finished coolly from the spot. Despite being down to 10 our fitness was showing and we were starting to control the game and when Mikey was hacked in the box once again, Rob this time sent the keeper the wrong way and it was 3-2. At this point the tails were up and we really started to motor with the returning Tulley coming off the bench and forcing a great save out of the keeper before Alex Smith put a cross in which was turned in by the Caterham defender after clashing with the keeper, fortunate but it was deserved. We went in for the kill after that with the score at 3-3 before a Caterham player landed awkwardly after a Reigate corner and unfortunately snapped his ankle which is never nice to see and we wish him a speedy recovery. The game was abandoned but the league have called it a 3-3 draw.

Boys I've been given the responsibility of doing the write up today.

Hard fought game and to battle back having only 10 men and being 3 goals down is a testament to our team spirit, fitness and who we are as a team. They were fortunate that game was abandoned as I'm certain we would have won that today.

Scrappy game and going forward we know we need to play our football, iron out a few errors and we'll walk through that sort of team. The passion was unbelievable this is an easy game when we're all on each other's side, positive and playing for each other.

Mom is a hard. . Bobby was superb and showed he's got nerves of steel with both penalties. , Brock had a cracking game, Alex smith battled hard and showed why he's a great signing , Mikey showed that when you've been subbed it's not all over and he came back on and made a real impact, it's a real tough one as could genuinely give it to 10 people.

But matt Lewis second half gave absolutely everything, won every header, great positive chat and for that reason I've given it to you. Well done.

Going forward Lets keep the postive vibes, keep working for each other like we did second half and play our game , free flowing football.

Looking forward to Tuesday!
