Home league match played on 28 September 2013.
Kicked off at 2:30 PM

first home game of the season and a first time the Robin boys could name some Subs. So with a different starting 11 for the 4th game in a row, there was a few changes. James Allen started as the support striker and Cameron Atkins came in at right-back. ...
Nottingham Community (NC) started the brighter team with some energy and passing the ball on a dry bobbly pitch very well. NC had a lot of the possession in the opening 25 minutes but created no real chances. The turning point was the sending of the NC captain. Two great solid all winning tackles from Matt Nutter brought a reaction of retaliation from the NC player got him his marching orders.
A foul brought a free kick from 30 yards created Robin Hood’s best chance of the first half in which Scott Allen hit the bar and the follow up fell to Brett Millar who went close by pulling his left foot shot just wide. A long ball over the top and Grant Gregory putting the ball into the back of the net was disallowed for off-side, but this was the story all-day from the NC linesman.
Half time came and a 0-0 was a fair result of a non-exciting first half.

Second half started and yet again the NC boys where very energetic and playing with confidence considering the one man disadvantage.
A good move by the Robin Hood lads brought a good goal the game with some great pass and move from Matt Nutter into Trevor Betts, then into Daniel Tyson who then onto Grant Gregory who teed up a shooting chance for James Worthington to beautifully strike the ball into the bottom left corner from 20-yards. 1-0!
It was a scrappy game in the heat of September with the Robin Hood back four playing very strong and defending well. It was going to be one of them games where would Robin hold out?
10 minutes to go a scrappy 18 yard box scramble and the ball dropped to the NC forward who should have made it 1-1 dragged his awful effort wide. LET OFF for the Hood!
A... free kick 20 yards out for Robin Hood shaved the post from Garry Millar 5 minutes from the end but in a game where it’s all about results it was definitely one of those games where we take the 3 points and move on to the following week.
Well Done Robin, clean sheet, 2 substitutes, and 3 points!   Man of match Brett Millar picked by Mick Allen, worked very hard took a lot kicks from the away side but kept his cool. A new Brett Millar me thinks this season, keep it up
