Home league match played on 13 November 2010.
Kicked off at 12:00 AM

The weather today was dry but chilly and the pitch has held up well with all the wet weather we have had.

We had 2 offside decisions against us inside the 1st 2 mins but that showed our attacking intent. Tom was looking lively on the right and was involved in 2 attacks in the 1st 8 minutes unfortunately they didn't come to anything despite his good work. Kirton started well and were closing down well but were lacking anything up front, Jack dealt with all they put his way and his distribution was good throughout the whole game. Sam was lucky to gat away with a handball with the ref unsighted, the lads were all playing well and creating chances but a combination of poor finishing and the goalkeeper kept the scores level. Ryan had a good chance with a free kick that was on target but the keeper got behind it, the lads were putting Kirton under constant pressure and it was only a matter of time before we got the opening goal. It came when Tom showed some good pace down the right and played a good ball in for Ryan to tap in and open the scoring then just before half time Rossi put a ball in for Ed to tap in.

Half time Sax 2-0 Kirton a good 1st half and it was no more than the lads deserved.

It was decided to get some of the lads on who haven't played much in the last couple of games and Gok. Connor, Luke and Ben went on for Tom,Kris,Rossi and Kyle a good chance to give the lads some game time and to make use of the squad, it is always a difficult task to pick a team and leave lads out but we will try our best to get all the players time on the pitch whenever we can and the lads seem ok with this and shows that we have got a good group of players.

Kirton started quickly as expected but the Sax lads held firm and worked hard to get back on top. In the 8th minute Sax forced a corner Arron put a ball in and after a scramble Sam got the final touch to get the ball over the line. On 10 Ben and Ed linked up well and Ed layed the ball back to Arron and he smashed it in to the goal off the underside of the bar. Gok was doing well on the left and showing a good turn of pace and was unlucky to put a shot just wide. The lads kept pressing and we had several more chances before the next goal came. The ball came out from the Kirton box and Fish got it 35 yards out he hit it on the half valley and it flew over the keeper in to the net a great goal and 1 like we don't score too often but Connor had other ideas the keeper played the ball otu from wide left of his area and left his goal open. The ball went to Connor and he then scored from 35 yards 2 long range goals inside 5 minutes Connor says it was a shot so we will have to believe him. Ed finished off the Scoring after Ben had put him in 1 on 1 with the keeper and he slotted it under the keeper to make it Sax 7-0 Kirton.

Kirton showed some good play at times and Sax coped well with all they had and then worked hard to get on top of them a good performance and I know we can do better than that but we have now had 2 clean sheets in a row and scored 10 goals so we cant be doing so bad. Woodbridge away next week and we will have to be on our game to get something out of the game but I am sure the lads are up to it and will do all they can do get a result

well done lads
