Home league match played on 04 March 2012.
Kicked off at 10:30 AM

15 minutes extra time played.

A miserable cold & RAINY, almost sleeting, morning and Boco kicked off after one goal area had been cleared of water using a bucket!!

First attack from Boco was easily dealt with and wasn't too long before they fell into our lap. A free kick was won 5 metres in our half and Boco decided to hold their line on the halfway line so Corey easily lifted well over and TOM, playing as striker for a change, was away and placed the Ball past the keeper and we were away. Daniel Whittaker had to come off as his ankle was aching so Olly partnered Matt Miles in the centre of defense and very strong they were too along with Danny and Zach who BOTH put in fantastic performances. 10 minutes later and Tom had his second, again put through by Corey who seemed to be enjoying his role. After a brave collison diving at TOM's feet they lost they keeper and promptly gave Tom his hatrick as the new Goalie promptly kicked the ball straight at Tom who wasted no time losing the defense and we were 3 nil up!

Not that this was a one sided match and we resisted many attacks before their strongest player was allowed to shot from outside the box and, although he had made a great save earlier, Keiran had no chance with this one. But it wasn't long before consistently great MIDFIELD work from SAM, George, Keiran Wynn & Matt Pettifer gave TOM a fourth goal. 4 - 1 and half time.

Time to mention the substitutes who had been standing in the COLD for a very long time, god bless 'em, who came on and quickly got involved in the game but just before this change COREY yet again was the provider passing through for Matt Pettifer to have his first shot blocked but made absolutely NO DOUBT by smashing the ball high into the far corner. All the boys were showing signs of being affected by the cold wet weather but MATT MILES & BEN couldn't take it any longer and asked to come off which on reflection was probably how BOCO managed to get a couple of Goals back and their heads were lifted. A bit of shuffling around and we got back on top again with George making alot of running from Midfield and eventualy get a nicely taken Goal with an Assist by JOE HALL. Before moving back to his normal position in defence TOM PALLOT managed to get another goal moving his tally for in one game to 5. Boco had a goal disallowed and one shot hit the fence behind and bounced into the back of the goal making man think they had scored.

7 - 3 with a few minutes to go and there was still some energy left and with a huge desire to score CAMERON had a chance to score but put at the keeper not once but twice though in the next attack he was put through again and LOBBED the keeper from outside of the area so it finished 8-3.

I must thank ALL the boys for their efforts in extremly uncomfortable conditions and also the parents for supporting their children. Again the substitutes deserve a mention because it was probably the worst day to be one but they all came on and played their part in a much deserved, and needed WIN. In a any normal game several boys would have deserved the MAN of the Match award, SAM, COREY, ZACH and DANNY, who just collapsed on the ground at the final whistle, all played their best games but with 5 goals to his name it had to go to TOM PALLOT.

Just brilliant, lads.
