Away league match played on 12 October 2014.
Kicked off at 11:30 AM

Starlands travelled a short distance to play Four Oaks Falcons thier local rivals.

Always a closely contested game this proved no different...and before I start credit to the young fella that refereed the game. He showed some common sense and allowed the game to flow throughout....well done...and he also elected our man of the match to be Ki for his non stop never say die attitude.

Starlands keeper Ben was called into action early doors..and was fortunate not to get penalised for handling outisde of his box !....albeit with the sunny morning and the poorly marked out pitch it was an easy mistake to make.

He was then called into action again to make a point blank save.

The Falcons keeper then responded coming out quickly to prevent Oskar netting an early goal. A good throw from Kieran to Oskar was then shot agonsiingly wide !..

Falcons then went through on goal , Kieran failed to clear first time and Ben made the save.

Ki then found himself infront of goal and also shot wide....Maybe Dean was right last week?...We do need to move the goal a few feet to the left?!....

Ki then passed to Oskar who also went wide...and to make matters worse our boys then found themselves 1-0 down.

Starlands responded brilliantly and about x9 shots were either blocked, hit the bar, saved or cleared in the spell of 30 seconds !...but finally Ki found Oskar who made it 1-1.

The game then swung in Starlands favour and Josh was unlucky not to make it 2-1 when his miss hit shot was easily collected by The Giant Falcon keeper.

A throw in then found Oskar inside the box and he hit a perfect shot into the roof of the net from just inside the area 2-1..a better goal you will not see this season.

Josh could have put Starlands out of sight but instead The Falcons keeper released a huge kick that split the STarlands defence leaving the speedy striker through on goal to make it 2-2

Starlands repsonded with a third to take the lead once again - with Josh putting Azza in space who banged home the 3rd goal. to make it 3-2

Josh then found himself off side - and Falcons were quick to return the ball but fortunately Chris their speedy striker kicked the ground and Ben had an easy save to make.

Falcons were soon level at 3-3 with another big kick from their keeper that had STarlands in disarray...Its not often Nick and Marcus struggle with the forwards pace...but this lad was quick ! and between him and their keeper - Falcons had a very direct game plan !...that was working.

Starlands were now trying to push forward forward for a winner - but once again Falcons hit them on the break. Ben rushed off his line to make a great save and keep it at 3-3 ....but not for long as the ball fell to another Falcons player who slotted home to make it 4-3 to the home team.

Panic now set in with the Starlands team - Falcons packed their defence with 6 at the back and left their nippy forward upfront. As STarlands puched on, they inevitably found themselves exposed at the back ...and Falcons made it 5-3....Ouch.....

Starlands did not deserve to lose...and did not deserve that scoreline....but nevertheless a highly entertaining game - and nice for Falcons to get a win having had some unlucky results of late.

Even Mystic Rick didnt predict that result?!....

Man of The Match went to Ki for his effort....Azza and Oskar looked sharp upfront. The boys did well - Kieran,Nick,Marcus,Luke,Josh,Ben,... and

THANK YOU to JIMMY SPICES for SPONSORING the NEW Kit that finally arrived...It looked good !
