Away friendly match played on 03 January 2016.
Kicked off at 10:30 AM

A wet and miserable day at Hall place saw a make shift STC take on charter diamond.

With crabby racing back from Heathrow, Lee playing his part in Benidorm, Steve and Shaun injured, omelette sliding down his pole in Peckham, Deano unavailable and josh stoned somewhere, STC lined up with Jordan in goal, Ron and Mike full backs, Slim and Scott at the back, pinky and perky in the middle Bob and Gok out wide with axey and Sheggs up top with Adam sub.

STC started slowly and the first goal was straight from a corner. With the forward using big Scott as a footstool, Bobby bushez, sorry the referee who just happened to be their player, headed in. 1-0. 1 was soon 2. A long pint down the left was not dealt with and a square pass left s tap in for Charter. 2-0

STC changed and pushed Slim up top and brought axey back. Slim and Sheggs linked up well a few times before the latter pulled up

Injured which brought Adam on.

So with no Lino, Charter broke and scored a breakaway which was a clear 10 yards offside. Big Scott challenged the ref who responded that he couldn't give an offside without a linesman.... Errrrrrr knob head, but from a cheating bias prick who also couldn't tell the time, playing 38 mins in the 1st half and 37 in the second, what can you expect.

STC started to battle on a pitch that was resembling the Sommes and soon were back in it. A mistake from the home side allowed Slim to run in from 40 yards out and finish well.

Not 2 minutes later it was 4-1. A nothing attack down the left was allowed to approach the goal unchallenged and STC paid the price following a neat finish and that was half time . 4-1

A few choice words were said and STC started a different side, working, fighting and making chances.

Crabby arrived and came on for the injured Hooky and STC went 3 up top which made an immediate impact with STC looking dangerous. Crabby was upended in the halfway line leaving Big Scott taking the free kick. A sublime ball found Adam 10 yards out and he stabbed the volley home. All about the pass but good finish too.

Soon it really was game on. Big Scott, enjoying rolling around in the mud like a Hog I'm shit, won a good ball and played up to Crabby. Crabby held off the challenge laying back to Adam who slipped a great ball in behind the defend me for Slim

Who ran through 1 on 1 before playing a delightful chip over the keeper from 20 yards. Good finish, good move and 4-3 with STC on top.

With the ref not involved or giving STC any decisions, STC had 2 good chances to draw level. First Adam put a header over the bar from 5 yards, with the joke of ref missing the blatant push in the back.

And Slim really should have scored but fluffed his lines left footed dragging beyond the far post after a well worked move.

With 8 mins left and only 1 team looking likely to score the home ref decided to blow for full time. PATHETIC.

So STC defeated by a combination of a calamitous opening, a village who had lost its idiot with the whistle, poor finishing in the closing stages and 2 more injuries to add to the treatment table resembling St Thomas's

Hopefully some players will be back next week.

Great effort today, first 20 aside and stand out performances from Mike and Rob, but this writers man of the match today is Big Scott
