Away cup match played on 18 December 2011.
Kicked off at 10:30 AM

Sudbury Athletic v Stonefield wanderers Vale farm Wembley The game started off fairly slowly as both teams struggled to come to terms with the pitch, the pitch even coming alive to tackle players at certain times during the game. There was one flash of brilliance in a tight first 20 mins with stonefield playing some good passing football before carl collins threaded a through ball too hodge, only for him to aim at the keeper instead of the back of the net. And stonefield were made to pay, a couple minutes later an inswinging corner (should of been a piece of cake for keeper mully) was horifically dealt with, a flop of a punch, a failed hack clear and chalkie nutmegged on his own line. Classic stonefield defending, but of course it wasnt anyones fault, mully claiming he had been pushed by one of the opposition strikers who was built like a twig and obviously just over powered him. After another attacking corner being whipped in without a challenge the ball fell to chalky who obviously forgot he was playing football and went for a rugby style conversion. He performed this with ease as the ball flew over the bar. Halftime, was it going to be another woeful away day for stonefield? Not if boss steve could do anything about it! After an aggresive team talk and threatning the whole squad with the risk of being subbed he sent the team out hoping for a response. However this failed to occur and the second half started similarly to the first with poor football all around. One shot from long distance on stonefields goal early on, but no one ever doubted mully, as he pulled off a great save to make up for his early blunder, even his cap fell off, commitment! However a few minutes later and stonefield were undone by yet another free kick, after a quick consultation matt was sent to the post by carl collins however between them they forgot to get someone to mark the player he left behind. He managed to ghost in unmarked and head in the 2nd. Cue manager rage number 2 from the touchline and an unfortunate danny was made to pay for the teams poor performance as he was subbed for jake. Leaving the pitch danny did his best to impersonate balotelli with his why me? Impressive to say the least. The substitution had a slight affect with stonefield having a small spell of being on top, with jake having a long range shot but was easy for the keeper, hodge was devastated he hadnt been passed the ball as he would of been through on goal. 'i havent had the ball all game' he moaned clearly forgetting he had our only chance in the first half. Then a huge turning point in the game, after being assulted and nearly stripped on the half way the away team went on to add a third. Cue manager rage number 3 and this had been worth the wait. Steve threw his flag to ground with disgust and used a good choice of words to abuse the unfortunate ref for about 5 minutes. Definatly an award winning performance from the gaffa. Stonefield failed to give up in the second half, with DT trying to out do dannys bambi's on ice performance before kick off however the ref didnt see the funny side and booked him for diving. After conceeding a late fourth goal mully even went up for a corner, this shower our desperation at the time. After running the who length of the pitch, forgetting he he had a cap on the corner was taken and flopped by carl collins. Roofy therefore took it upon himself to chase mully all the way back to other end. End result  Sudbury athletic 4 ,stonefield 0 , By Nick Simpson (the one armed bandit)
