Away league match played on 25 March 2012.
Kicked off at 10:30 AM

Then Weather was warm bright and sunny, the pitch had been mown and was ideal to play on.

The game got off to a brisk start and it was Tenth that drew first blood when Craig Hunt seized on a mistake from the Waggon defence on 5 minutes 0 – 1. For the next 20 minutes is was a close game with neither keeper really being worked hard then the whole match turned on a very doubtful penalty when MOM Lee Ledington slipped in the box and was judged to have handled the ball as he fell 1 – 1. The Tenth team were still disputing this decision 5 minutes later and not concentrating on the game which allowed Waggon to take the lead 2 – 1. With their heads down Tenth did not get back into the half and conceded 2 more goals on 35 and 43 minutes 4 – 1.

Half Time 4 – 1

Tenth went out with determination in the second half and looked more like the team that they know they can be, a quick break on 48 minutes saw MOM Lee Ledington make up for the penalty with a well struck shot 4 – 2. However whilst Tenth Lock were celebrating the goal they were not concentrating on the match and allowed Waggon straight back into the game on 49 minutes 5 – 2. A mix up between Tenths Keeper Scott Newman and the defence saw a ball go very slowly into the back of the Tenths net on 53 minutes 6 – 2. This somehow seemed to galvanise the Tenth into action as they now looked very dangerous on 59 minutes a massive kick from his hands by Tenths Keeper Scott Newman saw the ball dropping in the Waggons penalty box when the Waggon defender headed it back past his own keeper and into the net 6 – 3. James Alliband was replaced by Martin Fletcher on 60 Minutes, it was all Tenth now with wave after wave assaults on the Waggon defence. Tenth were awarded a penalty on 65 minutes and the almost sure footed Craig Hunt stepped to take it but his shot was high and right of the goal. Tenth still kept up the pressure and in the next 15 minutes hit the bar 3 times it was not going to be their afternoon. MOM Lee Ledington was replaced by Haydon Baker on 80 minutes. Tenth kept the pressure up and Craig Hunt scored his second and Tenths fourth with almost the last kick of the game 6 – 4. Had Lady Luck been with the Tenth then this result could have been so different.

Full Time 6 – 4

Next match Sunday 1st April KO 10.30am away at Wollaston to Hadcroft Rovers.
