Away league match played on 24 November 2011.
Kicked off at 8:45 PM

Longy arrives at the Fortress (otherwise known as the Romans) to be greeted by the news that Keeno was a goner! His last week of playing cos he has moved to Worthing and taken over a boozer. I reckon he bottled the house championship next week!!! Good luck and I hope all works out well!

Keeno and Pistol Pete took a stroll down to the venue as Longy, Gaz, Joe and Harold (I mean Ian) threw a few more legs. Bizzarley we beat the 2 lazy scrotes down there... This is the photo Joe took of them going past the Gardeners -

Would they have a team?? That is the question! We walked into the shit hole of Southwick Darts, surely the worst venue???

Definitely the worst practice board! The state of their team is worrying seeing as League Secretary, Laura Macintosh, I mean Ian Sweetman ha ha, reckons they would have to dig half of their team up!! What a Fair point seeing as the 2 players warming up when we got there were Alexei Lalas (American footballer) Rigsby from Rising Damp -

On to the game, if Longy can take his eyes off of Lisa the 'glowing', pregnant woman at the bar! Pistol up first (even though he thought it was his turn to miss out!).

A quality big 140 followed by a =n 82 checkout in the first leg got him in front and he never looked back! No ton's in the 2nd leg but a  solid 2-0 win! Niiiiice!

Ian and Joe called up next. Poor captaincy really to give Ian his only game of the night so early on but at least it would give him the opportunity to focus on verbally every poor cunt in there. A ton in each leg from Ian took him to the highest doubles average for our team on the night and he was well supported by Joe!

Longy found himself pitched against probably the most unfortunate looking player in the league Nick Penfold aka Sprout. When I asked why they called him that his response was 'Because I am a little cabbage!'. NUFF SAID! Not easy but solid finishing took him to a 2-0 win and the team to a 3-0 lead (6-0 in legs, could it be?).

Suuuuuuppppppppaaaaa leeeeeeaaagggguuuueeee, Suuuuuuppppppppaaaaa leeeeeeaaagggguuuueeee was being sung when Gazza got called up for his singles. After his first Wednesday night victory (good stuff mate, chuffed for ya) he wins 2-0 but a season low average and no ton scores it wasn't the most easy to watch Brindley victory but 2-0 is 2-0.

Pete and Longy paired together to win the match, although the first leg droped came in this game, so did the highest checkout. Shanghai on 20's for Longy saw him grab the winner with a 120 checkout. NIIICE. Joe did say he would buy me a kebab if I take it out (I never heard it so it was not my reason for doing it)!

So, match won and only 1 leg dropped, our place in the top half of the table is secure irrelevant of other results. A really good first half of the season with some real magic moments! Great stuff.

The food came out: A bowl of mixed crisps, cheese and tomato sarnies, cheese and ham sarnies, cheese/ham/tomato sarnies, bhajis, samosas and pickled onions. Cheers!

At this point, Pistol (Mr Wikipedia) plucked a class bit of memory from nowhere. A cover of the song 'The way it is' came on and after racking his brains he's gone 'Bruce Hornsby_And_The_Range: The_Way_It_Is_(1986)' and I have validated it online. Great shout!!

Back to the action, Emma is up now and with the pressure off it should have made her relax. Unfortunately, Rigsby beat her 2-0. 1 ton score was pleasing to see.

Emma straight back on with Gazza and the first leg was taken out in 28 darts. Nice! 2nd leg not quite as good looking but 2-0 is 2-0 as I said! Well done.

Keeno up against Lisa and another game with no 10 scores still saw Keeno sign off with a 2-0 win!

Could Joe win the last game of the night against Paul the Prick (who I think was acting a little more drunk than he really was). If he does, it will be the first time he hsa scored back to back victories. Course he can and it was 2-0. Get in. Again no 100 scores but 8-1 on the night and solid end to the night!CAMMAANNNNNNNNNNNN
