Stainton 500 FC v CFC Contractors

The game started off as it was to continue with Stainton on top and putting lots of pressure on the CFC defence.
It took until 16mins for Stainton to finally take advantage of this and go a goal up. Lewis Tidy being played through on the goalkeeper and beating him from around 12 yards out, after a ball in from Anthony Biswas, wide on the right. 1-0 Stainton.
Two minutes later Barry John-Hall was also on the score sheet for Stainton. A through ball to Lewis Tidy from his brother Nathan Tidy, allowed him to run through on goal before squaring the ball to Hall for goal number 2.
On 24 minutes the third goal for Stainton came, a good ball inside the box from Nathan Tidy allowed Anthony Biswas time to turn and shoot home from around10 yards out. 3-0 Stainton.
On 28 minutes Hall got his second goal of the game. A ball over the top sent Paul Jenkins clear to run on and cross into the box, before a few intricate passes inside the box ended with Hall scoring from close range. 4-0 Stainton.
9 minutes later another ball over the top allowed Lewis Tidy to beat offside and run in on the goalkeeper an get his second goal of the game. 5-0 Stainton
On 40 minutes a pull back from the left by Lewis Tidy allowed Anthony Biswas to fire home from around 18 yards into the far top corner. 6-0 Stainton
On 42 minutes CFC spoiled stand in keeper Mark Roulston’s clean sheet for the half. After a foul wide on the left, the resultant free kick was crossed into the Stainton 6 yard box, but was not dealt with by anybody allowing it to end up in the back of the stainton net. 6-1 Stainton.
5 Minutes after half time Richie May managed to get in on the goals for Stainton. May beat offside from a through ball from Nathan Tidy, before running into the box, playing a 1-2 with Lewis Tidy and scoring. 7-1 Stainton.
On 55 minutes Nathan Tidy got a deserved goal. A ball in from the left by Denny Alderson allowed him to put the ball into the right hand corner of the net past the keeper for 8-1 Stainton.
On 64 minutes, after a Stainton double substitution, Lewis Tidy got his hat trick by putting home the rebound of a powerful Paul Jenkins shot. 9-1 Stainton.
On 72 minutes CFC managed a second consolation goal after a bit of lapse defending by Stainton. 9- 2 Stainton.
But 3 minutes later, Lewis Tidy capped of a fine goal scoring display with his fourth goal. A good ball in from the right by Richie May allowed Tidy the opportunity to turn and fire the ball home for a 10-2 Stainton win.

Man of the match – Anthony Biswas – for a good all round midfield display.
