Away league match played on 18 September 2011.
Kicked off at 10:30 AM

This weekends fixture Riverside b fc and The Stainton Inn 500 FC started off very slow for the visitors .They showed no will to win as Riverside took full control of the first half ,winning every challange .Within a matter of minutes Riverside had taken the lead after some very poor defensive play from the whole team as the ball got knocked into the box for the Riverside forward to tuck away.1-0. Riverside scored a second after a failed shout for offside left there forward 1 on 1 with the Stainton GK of which he finished nicely .2-0. Man Of The Match Barry Davies kept the score at 2-0 after some incredible saves in the first half . After the interval and the hair dryer treatment from there coach The Stainton seemed to have woken up ,Within seconds the referee had blew his whistle for hand ball in the Riverside penalty area for vice captain then Richard May steps up and struck the cross bar and the re-bound cleared away ,2-0. shortly after with some neat passing in the midfield Paul Jenkins beat his man and broke into the oppsition box from the left wing and what looked like a miss hit cross off his left foot ,it left the Riverside GK wrong footed as the ball trickled past his near post ,2-1. Stainton piled on the pressure in total contrast of the first half and gained a corner , Neil Lazer McLoughlin crossed the ball in for Lewis Tidy to score un-marked at the far post,2-2. Stainton then got another corner which was met at the near post for captainAndy 'Skin' Corfield to strike the wood work. Nathan Tidy the gave the away team the lead after some great pass and move play and struck from inside the Riverside box,2-3. And the best goal was definitely saved til last after the impressive Matty Devine crossed from the right for the Riverside defence to head away only for Nathan Tidy to hit on the volley from 25 yds on his left foot to leave the Riverside GK'S feet rooted firmly to the ground 2-4.................Definitely justifies the quote A GAME OF TWO HALVES
