Away league match played on 13 October 2012.
Kicked off at 12:00 PM

Another game between two unbeaten teams, both with excellent form this season. The Wolves opted to play uphill first half and Cole had to make a good save
straight from kick off.
Cole quickly cleared up field to Dylan who played a lovely one-two with Jacob and calmly slotted past the keeper after just two minutes. 0-1
The Gems were very dangerous in attack and kept getting in behind our defense but we managed to hold on and clear up field. Dylan picked up the ball in midfield
but rather than pass to Jacob he tried to take on the defense, who today were too good, and the chance was lost.
A few minutes later and Jacob got fouled in midfield and the Gem's GK made a great save from Dylan's free kick.
Another Gems attack and the cross unluckily came off the back of our defender for an an own goal: 1-1. They then got another quickly afterwards from a half saved
corner: 2-1.
The Wolves were still in the game and Dylan, Charlie and Jacob had chances but the Gem's keeper was playing superbly and clung on to everything that came his
way. The Gems got their third just on half time; one of their very skillful forwards got past our defense and was brought down in the area for a deserved penalty
which was well placed in the bottom corner giving Cole no chance.
Halt time 3-1
The Wolves pushed on in the second half going down hill but were getting in each others way instead of playing the whole pitch. We also got a bit exposed in
midfield and struggled to get back as the Gems broke. Last week we had been so strong defending the midfield, breaking up the opposition's passing game and
creating space going forward. Today we had too many players in the last third which allowed the Gems to defend deeper, and there was no space for anyone to create
a decent chance.
Sure enough, the Gem's broke in numbers from a Wolve's corner and passed their way through our last line of defense to get their 4th. 4-1.
The Wolves, as ever, didn't give up and Tom bravely won the ball and passed to Dylan who cut back into the middle and scored with a great shot. 4-2
We had some more chances that normally may have gone in but the Gems defended for their lives and we weren't aggressive enough in trying to win the ball back in
their box. We were now chasing the game and were vulnerable on the counter attack. The gems broke up the right wing and, passing well into the danger area, got
their 5th with 6 minutes left to go.
Jacob and Charlie had chances saved however Dylan got his hat trick with a brilliantly taken goal: 5-3. The Wolves attacked and attacked but just ran out oftime.
Final score 5-3
A harsh lesson for the lads but the Gems deserved the win. They kept their shape better than us and never had less than three players back. When we passed properly
and quickly we looked like we could get behind them, as shown by the first goal, but we held onto the ball for far too long on occasions and didn't get into good
positions. When we did pass it was either too hard or not accurate enough. The Gems passed better than us and used the width of the pitch better and their finishing
was top class. Cole had another great game despite the scoreline.
