Home league match played on 28 January 2018.
Kicked off at 11:00 AM

As the sun rose on a mild and moist morning Thrum Hall welcomed visitors Cock and Bottle to the snake pit in a top of the table clash which neither team could afford to lose. As the teams began warming up. The snakes were hopeful that cock and bottle were missing members of there squad as there were only 6 players 5 mins before kick off however this wasn’t the case as they arrived just in time. The warm up was over and the game kicked off. It didn’t take long for thrum hall to find the back of the net as a wild looping free kick from 46.4 yards into the box from robbo befuddled the cock and bottle keeper and somehow ended up in the net. Moments later Jonny gave away a free kick 30yards away from goal which again looped into the area a clearly intended cross and again confused the current keeper Rick Stanger and ended up bouncing into the net 1-1 If the 19 minute cock and bottle scored again with a goal of the season contender from 30 yards which flew into the top corner amazing goal. That was Stanger’s game done going off to be replaced by Daniel Hoyle god save us. It only took a few minutes for Hoyle to be caught out by a low drilled cross to the front post which was tapped past him by the cock and bottle striker 3-1 bottle. 2 minuets later a stupid free kick given away by pep to bottle ended up with the ball in the back of the net, with Daniel Hoyle trying to sort his wall the free kick was taken quickly and flew past him. Hall needed a response and got 1 when Jonathan scored his 18goal for hall with a great solo effort. The snakes were fighting for the equaliser when a long ball hit with no power no accuracy no nothing went straight to Daniel Hoyle easy catch we all thought as Karl was walking away the ball ejaculated from his hands like he did into his sock 3 hours before ???????????? and the ball ended up in the net 5 - 2. Heads were down but Casey took matters into his own hands and played a beautiful sweaty Fifa goal for Jonathan giraffe Gibson. (the lanky prick Tapend’s words) to score again 5- 3. With halftime approaching it was 6- 3 goal from corner. HALF TIME Words were go out and win this game by Marcus. Cliss who was as awful as thrum halls keepers was taken off at half time and replaced by big ash. He made a great presence but Dawson gave away a penalty in the 51st min a soft one at that as there was hardly any contact and was clearly off the ball and influenced the play in no way shape or form Danny Hoyle in goal guessed the right way but couldn’t keep the ball out 7-3 Thrum hall then brought on world war 2 veteran Andy hembleys. Bit moments later it was 8-3 Daniel Hoyle forgot he keeper and conceded again a simple goal. This game was well and truly Over at this point and was just about hall keeping cock and bottle off scoring double figures However the main highlight of today’s game occurred after this goal as Jonathon Gibson was played through on goal only to fall over and perform a pes dive he clearly pressed all the buttons however it was terrible and he reacted by asking the ref to book him for diving to hide embarrassment. Jonathan Gibson then made up for that moment by scoring a goal that even pirlo would be impressed by the composure by tapping it past the keeper from 6 yard out. The game then finished after robbo scored 8-5. Man of the match and reaching 20 goals for hall David Sudall Well deserved David who’s played class for the last few games........we move on next Halifax amateurs. Hopefully josh can play this week after having his tattoo done and Trav is finally picked up from that bus station up the Hall ??????????
