FIRST 3 points for the snakes

On a mild and sunny day which was describe as perfect footballing weather by many the mighty Thrum Hall picked up there first 3 points of the season with a comfortable 8-3 victory over Old Pond. As the game began it become apparent that the referee had too many jagers the night before as he was a no show so it took to Thrum Halls very own Foreign Ambassador Jesse Malseed to officiate the first half. As kick off began it was clearly visible that Thrum Hall started strongest with them quickly dispossessing Old Pond and having a fast attack which resulted in a wide shot however it didn't take long after for Thrum Halls king of offsides Jay Clissitt to score a left footed finish neatly past the keeper after brucey threaded the ball past the patch of sand in the box..... Then 2 minutes later baby Jesus excuse me david suddall found the bottom corner after his original shot was blocked and it dropped right back at his feet, 5 minutes played, Thrum hall 2-0 Old Pond. The next 15 mins we're quiet from Both sides with both having few chances Thrum Halls mainly Coming from balls over the top from Full backs Jonni Suddal and Ashley Shepard who were playing the line.

As the 21st minute drew close it was Jonathon..... Gibson (only just realised his name wasn't actually Gibby) who struck with a clean finish which left the keeper with no chance assisted from David Suddal. It was then Jonathan's again to strike as he provided a nice finish to make it 4-0 after jay managed to stay onside somehow and pass inside to him David finally got his second 3 minutes later assisted by Dawson. 30 minutes played 5-0 Thrum Hall. As half time approached old Pond played a ball through the defence as keeper Danny hoyle (tapend) come Off his line to claim it Safe to say he didn't claim It less said about It the better. 5-1 thrum hall

Half time quickly arrived and the ref turned up finally part timing bastard. A quick motivational speech from Mr manager Phill Ogden and Thrum Hall went back out to ensure the victory was finished. First to strike was manager/coach/ambassador/centre back/snakey bastard/bald Ben Coates (love ya Ben) with a headed finish from a crossed ball from Hembers. Enjoy that second pint Casey :) It was then Bruceys turn to add to scoring as jay shot the ball came back off the bar hit him in the face and went in unsure he meant it but well we will give him his glory 53 mins in 7-1 Thrum Hall Only a couple of minutes this scorline lasted as a quick attack from Old pond ended with Ben Coates missing the ball and the winger whipping in a cross which ended up into the top corner somehow..... A couple quick changes for Thrum Hall as shep and grandad were replaced by jay butters and the referee.... Jesse hopefully He plays better than he refs.

Old pond then struck again as a corner popped up and a rogue header forced it into the top corner you just don't save those....

Final sub took place as jay Clissitt come off for the king Cobra himself Jamie Casey as the hisses from the touch line continued Casey was making his prescience down the wing known as he played balls central, constantly pressuring the old Pond defence.

A quick counter attack from Old pond ended with jay butters falling over nothing and a poor shot was scooped up by keeper Danny hoyle. Snakey snake boy ended his game by scoring a 1 on 1 beating the keeper at the near post.

With the final whistle blown and Thrum Hall 8-3 victors in there first home game at the dreaded snake pit they looked forward to the next game with spirits high
