Tiki Taka Dortmund travelled to AO Sports Club on 4 April 2026 for a 10:00am kick-off in a league away fixture against Bolton Lads & Girls Club Eagles. The match lasted 70 minutes plus added time and ended in a 3-1 defeat for Dortmund. Despite a late spirited effort, the visitors were unable to overturn an early deficit and were undone by three goals from the home side.
Tiki Taka Dortmund lined up in a 4-3-3 formation, deploying Kamsy Anajemba in goal. The defensive line consisted of Seka Sewagudde at right back, Archie Hunt and Lawrence Nwakamma as central defenders, and Nathen Platt on the left. The midfield trio featured Favour Ajumobi on the right, Zac Leach centrally, and Zac Humphries-Deveney on the left. Up front, the attacking trio was made up of Brajan Staszkowicz on the right wing, Andrew-Franz Nkemka leading the line as striker, and Yasin Mohammed on the left wing. The substitutes available were Nikita Velicka, Finley Barlow, and Oscar Manders.
From the outset, Brajan Staszkowicz demonstrated his pace and directness with a good run and cross down the right wing in the third minute that created an early chance for Dortmund. Defensively, Nathen Platt was alert to block an attempt seven minutes in, but the visitors were soon rattled as Bolton Lads & Girls Club Eagles struck in the eighth minute to take the lead.
Shortly after conceding, Dortmund made their first substitution in the tenth minute, with Nikita Velicka replacing Favour Ajumobi in midfield. The defensive effort continued with Seka Sewagudde making a crucial tackle in the twelfth minute to halt an opposition attack. Anajemba was called into action at the sixteenth minute, confidently catching a dangerous cross to keep Dortmund in the game.
The tactical changes continued as Finley Barlow came on for Yasin Mohammed in the seventeenth minute, signalling Dortmund’s intent to refresh their attacking options. Andrew-Franz Nkemka tested the opposition goalkeeper with a shot that sailed wide three minutes later, but the visitors struggled to find their rhythm. BLGC doubled their advantage in the twenty-first minute, leaving Dortmund chasing the game.
Dortmund responded with a flurry of substitutions at the twenty-third minute: Yasin Mohammed returned to replace Zac Humphries-Deveney on the left midfield, Favour Ajumobi was reintroduced in place of Andrew-Franz Nkemka, and Oscar Manders came on for Seka Sewagudde at right back. Zac Leach showed defensive grit with a well-timed tackle a minute later, while Anajemba made another safe catch from a BLGC attempt at the twenty-sixth minute.
Further changes followed as Andrew-Franz Nkemka was brought back on for Zac Leach in midfield at twenty-eight minutes, and Seka Sewagudde returned to the right back position, replacing Nikita Velicka. Yasin Mohammed’s wide shot at the thirtieth minute and Nkemka’s defensive tackle at thirty-two minutes highlighted Dortmund’s efforts to regain control. The first half concluded at the thirty-fifth minute mark with Dortmund trailing by two goals.
Early in the second half, Favour Ajumobi’s shot was saved at thirty-seven minutes, followed by a saved attempt from Seka Sewagudde two minutes later. Brajan Staszkowicz once again provided a dangerous cross into the box at the forty-first minute, creating a chance on the back post that unfortunately Finley Barlow failed to convert, shooting wide. Lawrence Nwakamma and Archie Hunt both made crucial defensive interventions, blocking and tackling to prevent further damage.
BLGC extended their lead, scoring in the forty-seventh minute. Dortmund reacted swiftly with substitutions: Zac Humphries-Deveney replaced Archie Hunt and Zac Leach returned to midfield for Finley Barlow. Oscar Manders contributed defensively with an interception at the fifty-first minute, while Nikita Velicka came on for Seka Sewagudde at fifty-five minutes.
Dortmund’s persistence paid off in the fifty-eighth minute when early pressure from a goalkick forced an error that lead to an own goal from a BLGC player reduced the deficit to 3-1. Nikita Velicka then made a vital interception a minute later to prevent another BLGC chance. The sixty-minute mark saw Archie Hunt return to the field for Zac Leach, and Lawrence Nwakamma made a key tackle at sixty-two minutes to keep the visitors in the contest.
Anajemba remained alert, catching another cross at sixty-four minutes, before Seka Sewagudde replaced Nathen Platt at sixty-five minutes. Shortly after, Finley Barlow returned to the pitch due to an injury, replacing Nikita Velicka. Zac Humphries-Deveney’s through pass at sixty-six minutes created a promising opportunity for Brajan Staszkowicz, whose shot was saved.
Favour Ajumobi twice came close to scoring late on, hitting the crossbar on two occasions at fifty-six and sixty-eight minutes respectively. Lawrence Nwakamma cleared a dangerous ball at sixty-nine minutes, but Dortmund could not find a way back into the match before the final whistle.
Andrew-Franz Nkemka was named player of the match for his tireless work when filling in at various positions both in attack and defence, despite the team’s defeat. Also a mention to Brajan who worked hard today down the right wing.
Ultimately, Bolton Lads & Girls Club Eagles’ clinical finishing and early dominance proved decisive as Tiki Taka Dortmund failed to really put their mark on the match and ultimately fell to a 3-1 loss at AO Sports Club.
Well done lads, we learn from this and keep going.??????
