Away league match played on 28 September 2008.

The Tunbridge Wells Foresters under 8’s Tandridge team played their first away league game of the season on Sunday. The game ended in a 4-0 win for Foresters. Foresters had the majority of the early possession and missed several good opportunities to open the scoring, however the deadlock was finally broken when following a good through ball Johnny Phillips shot past the advancing goalkeeper into the net. Foresters continued to dominate the position but could not convert any of their chances so at half-time the scoreline remained 1-0 to Foresters. In the second half the Under 8’s continued to try and pass the ball around and they continued to create chances but they could not beat the woodwork or Glebe goalkeeper who made several good saves to keep his team in the game. Foresters finally got the second goal when a well worked move ended with Joe Pickett firing in from close range. With the match entering the final quarter and following some good passing play Erik Anderberg added the third goal, and Joseph Pickett added a fourth near to the end of normal time. Well done to the boys on a battling result and also for playing some excellent football during the course of the game. The squad for the match was as follows:- L.Caira, E.Anderberg, J.Phillips, J.Williams, M.Horlock, O.Plunkett, J.Pickett, ,R.Lawrence and L.Nwanosike.
