Under 11 Tandridge League Cup
A dry overcast morning greeted the players and parents for a tough away cup tie to Tulse Hill.
The match was fairly even with neither side creating any real chances in the early phases of the game.
The Foresters started to settle and find their passing game, several good moves creating opportunities for the wide players along with Ollie who was causing the home defence problems with his pace and determination.
The Foresters now growing in confidence and enjoying plenty of possession; played a good quick move through midfield which found Charlie wide on the right, one touch and a well taken shot and the Foresters took a well deserved 1 - 0 lead.
With the game heading towards the break a mix up between the Foresters keeper and defence gifted Tulse Hill an equaliser to make honours even at half time.
Foresters started brightly and were awarded a penalty early in the second half which Joe duly dispatched to make it to 2 – 1. This fired up the home side who were trying to force their way back into the match but several good clearances by Luca in goal and a strong and organised back four continued to shut out anything Tulse Hill had to offer.
With the game finely balanced the Foresters fashioned a good counter attacking move which split the home defence for Louis to make it 3 – 1 with just 10 minutes to go.
3 – 1 up the Foresters closed out the match and go in to the Quarter final.
