UN1TED as always usually playing well in the North came up strong against AK United FC.
Tempo was composed and the 1st half saw 2 gd chances with Daniel and Vig blasting inches wide after gd wing play from Shaheer and Nash... Fort was well marshalled by Sathia and Andy with Ashiq and Raman supporting e wing play. Vinod was left with e task of breaking and distributing play which he did gallantly. Dinesh was the target man upfront to unsettle e AK defence.
Some neat exchange in the middle of the 1st half saw shaheer threading it thru for Daniel to slot it home.. 1-0!!
AK started pressing but found Goalie Muizz in inspiring form pulling of 3 point blank saves and a tip over from a free kick all of which was certainly going in...No way was he gonna pick e ball from e net this morning!
Fresh legs were brought on in 2nd half and Aslam in particular was as usual causing havoc on e left but this time, Anand was also in e mix.. a beauty of a cross found Anand who timed his jump to perfection to put his header away... 2-0!!
Emphasis was on corners and from one, it eluded the goalkeeper and Yusuf was on hand to stab it home to cap a fine performance from him 3-0!!
