Opening play on a hard dry pitch, UN1TED failed to settle down for the entire 1st half allowing Marine Devils FC who they have previously beaten to score from an uncleared corner..the heavens opened up to soften e pitch and that provided some respite but the Marines seized the initiative with a belter from outside the box to take a 2-0 Halftime lead.
The 2nd half was dominated by UN1TED but found e 1st goal elusive..with chances few and far between..frustration crept in and Raman got e 1st yellow with a rant at the ref.
Aslam was next to go into e book for a retaliant foul after being stamped...
UN1TED finally got their 1st goal when e military intelligence between Vinod and Ayub showed with Vinod launching his trademark laser guided throw in for Ayub to do nothing but head into goal...impossible to miss...2-1
The surge forward continued with a glorious chance spurned by Nantha when he made 4 crunching tackles outta 5 earlier but when e shot mattered...he opted to caress it wide...!
