Team News

Slades new signing Adedayo Pitan makes his full debut. Long term absentees still include Harris and Tille, with Beetle brothers also unavailable this week. Rob Darby made his traditional appearance to support the Slade. It was going to be a battling game today, especially with Slade determined to put Bean straight as to who were the better team.

First Half

This game started off unusually for the Slade, uncharacteristically the mighty blues started the game in lightening fashion, when Callum Rodger tackled the Bean defender, who was do some Pierce like turns around no-one by his own area, then coolly tucked the ball home in the bottom corner to put Walderslade 1-0 up. It wasn’t long after that Bean was 2-0 down when Armours shot deflected back to Rich Coney who smashed the ball home from outside the area for Slades second goal on 15 minutes. Still in control, in looked like Slade were ready to add a third when Ben Lewis was put through by a lovely ball from Bruno Marques, only for Lewis to completely melt and slice the ball, possible DOD? Full debutant Pitan then decided to join in with slicing the ball whilst through on goal, managing to slice pass the ball wide. Bean finally chipped in with a chance from a corner, but Slade counter attack ending with Marques slicing a shot out for a throw, everyone getting in on the Stockers style of shooting. Lee O’Brien was next up for a chance, seeing his diving header cleared off the line and Pierce had a header wide after a short corner was whipped in.  Rob Warner seemed to get bored off Slade off having the ball, decided to pass to a Bean player, stand there to realise what he had actually done, then decided it might be a good idea to try and get it back. Bean finally added something to the game when one of their players was booked. Coney should of had a clear cut penalty awarded but the referee decided not to give it! Walderslade go in comfortable at half time 2-0.

Second Half

Slade started the second half just like the first when a long throw by Ben Lewis found Richard Coney, who controlled the ball and drilled home with his left foot at an acute angle, 3-0 and the Slade running away with the game. Tizzy then decided to square up to Beans 8ft monster and Callum Rodger gets all feisty again this week as he went through a Bean player on the slide. Marques decided to give us a taster of what sleeping with him would be like when he challenged for a header and let us all hear his orgasm squeak. He then turned provider for Coney whose header was tipped over by the Bean keeper after a good cross from Marques. Armour hit the bar with a left foot strike and Ricky Wood spilled a Bean shot but Lewis reacted first to clear the ball. Lee Obrien added another slice kick to end the game nicely, Slade running out deserved 3-0 winners.

Match Analysis

A tough battling game, with plenty of Beetle like challenges being thrown about and Callum Rodger getting booked again, absolute thug these days. Another win and 3 points for the mighty Slade sees them remain top of the league and unbeaten. Well done to Robbie Warner on his man of the match and a DOD for Ben Lewis for his persistent slices, he now owes 2 dirty pints! Up the Slade
