Home league match played on 08 September 2013.
Kicked off at 10:00 AM

Sluggish to start but still produced a goal early on through Martin Clark who down the left before rifling a shot into the top left hand corner. Shortly after Carluke equalised. The majority of the play for the rest of the 1st was spent attacking, defending and counter attacking no clear shots but under a lot of pressure from the opposition and 1st half finished 1-1 shown clearly by a passionate Hamill. It didn't long for the opposition to take the lead after a long throw wasn't dealt with and was headed into the net on the line to make it 2-1. The heads didn't go down, continual pressing looking for the equaliser, a few snap shots outside the box but nothing convincing. Tiredness was showing in the oppositions after defending well and a great ball into Danny who finished low into the corner to make it 2-2. Less than 5 minutes left and confidence was high within the team looking for the winner, a great ball into Danny Love from Martin who chipped the stranded keeper Battigol-esque from the edge of the box and celebrated his goal with style!
A slow start but continual pressure and quick, neat passing and a desire to win! Let that motivation be carried onto next week, I have seen you play better and lose so when we don't play our best and win some progress is being made. Plaudits to Danny and Martin for leading the line for Steven Hamill, Gary Elliott and Alistair Lannigan for a hard shift at times especially that last ditch sliding challenging to prevent a one on one. Dean Small and Sean Gaffney ran the line well you both had a hard shift today, Graeme Boyd and Graeme Jed Cockburn another hard shift shutting down their midfield not letting them create and then playing passes long or short into feet but for a great performance in midfield tracking back, tackling, creating chances, passing, looking for the ball and even having a few shots too in there!
