Lanarkshire Deaf 0 - 6 Wishaw Athletic

A poor first half creating very little not playing football at all, no movement shown from midfield and lacking that cutting edge allover the park if it wasn't for Jamsy 1st heroics from a penalty the game could of looked different but it wasn't to be that way a much brighter start in the second a flight change made in midfield with Knoxy coming on for Gary who played well but tactically things needed to change, we were looking livelier,... more urgency in attacking and winning the ball. 1-0 Martin the cross provided by Lanny after good play by Hamill down the right side of the park finally the deadlock was broken!! The second followed shortly after great footwork by Martin inside the box who buried it into the corner to make it 2-0. Lanarkshire deaf kick off great closing down by midfield creating the opportunity for Martin but their defender blatantly hand balled inside the box who is shown a red card... Martin steps to stroke the ball home into the corner but referee asks for re-take Martin finish high into the net for his hat-trick 3-0. A few more changes made with James on for Martin and Cockburn on for Deano to add to the momentum of attack. Great play again down the right before Lanny finished well into the corner to make it 4-0. More changes made which saw Darren coming on for Gaffney and Gistel on for Danny which didn't take long before the fifth came after pressure was placed on their defence good play from Darren Pew with his feet before finishing inside the box to make it 5-0. Gistel wrapped off the scoring after their defender blatantly hand balled with both hands inside his own half but referee allowed play to continue before Gistel finished into an empty net after their keeper walked away. Gistel Bjorn possibly should of had 2 maybe 3 more but referee with some bizarre decisions throughout.

Big performance from Alistair Lannigan today a goal, 3 assists and worked hard for the team especially in the 2nd half.

Martin Clark a fine second half performance rounded off with a well deserved hat-trick.

Chris Statham alongside Marcus MacFarlane was solid when under pressure dealt with as did Jamsy.

James Martin a clean sheet to be proud of today.

In the second half especially the right hand side of the park had the majority of the ball Lanny and Hamill stretching their defence continually down that side which proved to be effective for us today. Hamill with last ditch challenges, great runs down the park always wanting the ball which everyone should always have that desire for throughout regardless of the score-line

Man of the match Steven Hamill
