Worthing Dynamo U14 Black travelled to Shrubbs Playing Fields #3 on 6 September 2026 for a 9:30am kick-off in their league fixture against Felpham Colts U14 Yellow. The 11-a-side contest lasted the full 70 minutes plus added time, concluding with Felpham Colts securing a 3-0 victory on the road.
Worthing Dynamo lined up in a classic 4-4-2 formation, aiming to balance defensive solidity with attacking intent. Jenson Blackman took his place between the sticks as goalkeeper, shielded by a back four comprising Bailey Freshwater at right back, Ellis Williams and Toby Killick as central defenders, and Finley Stevens covering the left flank. The midfield quartet featured Toby Rennie on the right wing, Archie Parker-Muckle and Leo Whyatt centrally, and Teddy Gill on the left wing. Up front, the strike partnership consisted of Ethan Whattingham on the right and Sameer Manro on the left. This setup was designed to provide width and support for the forwards while maintaining a disciplined defensive shape. On the bench, Ben Riggott, Theo Phillips, and Isaiah Hatton awaited their chance to influence the match.
The game began with Felpham Colts asserting early pressure, and it was no surprise when they opened the scoring in the 10th minute. Worthing’s defence was breached as the visitors took the lead, setting the tone for a challenging morning ahead. In response, Worthing made their first substitution on 20 minutes, with Ben Riggott replacing Ellis Williams in central defence, signalling a tactical tweak to shore up the backline.
Shortly after, at the 26-minute mark, two more changes were made simultaneously. Theo Phillips came on for Sameer Manro up front, while Isaiah Hatton replaced Toby Rennie on the right wing.
