About Académica
Académica de Coimbra – Organismo Autónomo de Futebol (AAC-OAF), also referred to as Académica de Coimbra (Portuguese pronunciation: [?k?'ð?mik? ð? ku'ib??]) or simply Académica, is a professional football club based in Coimbra, Portugal.
As of the 2022–23 football season in Portugal, the club competes in the third division of the Portuguese football league system, and hosts home games at the Estádio Cidade de Coimbra. It also has a futsal department with men's and women's teams.
The club was founded in 1877 by students of the University of Coimbra. It is one of the oldest football clubs in Portugal and the oldest university football club in the world.
Académica has won the Taça de Portugal once, in 1938–39. They have also won the Portuguese Second Division twice, in 1943–44 and 2005–06.

Recent seasons
Académica has been struggling in recent seasons. They were relegated from the Primeira Liga in 2018–19 and have since been playing in the Liga Portugal 3.

Ledman Liga Pro
The Ledman Liga Pro is the third tier of the Portuguese football league system. It was founded in 2013 and is currently sponsored by Ledman, a Portuguese sportswear company.
The league consists of 18 teams and the winner is promoted to the Liga Portugal 2. The bottom two teams are relegated to the Campeonato de Portugal.
The current champions of the Ledman Liga Pro are Sporting CP B.
The Ledman Liga Pro is a competitive league with a lot of young talent. It is a good place for players to develop their skills before moving on to the Primeira Liga.
