AFC Croydon Athletic is a football club based in Thornton Heath in the London Borough of Croydon, England. The club are currently members of the Combined Counties League Premier Division South and play at the Mayfield Stadium. They are affiliated to the London Football Association.
History
The club was founded in 2012 by a group of supporters who wanted to create a new football club in Croydon. The club started playing in the Surrey South Eastern League Division One, and won promotion to the Premier Division in their first season. In 2015, the club were promoted to the Southern Counties East Football League (SCEFL).
The club's highest finish in the SCEFL was seventh place in 2017-18. In 2020-21, the club were transferred to the Premier Division South of the Combined Counties League.

The Southern Counties East Football League (SCEFL) is a football league in England. It is at the ninth tier of the English football league system. The league was founded in 1984, and currently consists of two divisions, the Premier Division and Division One.
The SCEFL is affiliated to the Isthmian League, and clubs in the Premier Division can apply for promotion to the Isthmian League North Division One.
