Alumwell Athletic were formed in 2002 from a team formally known as Hurst Hill FC which started out in 1995 by Steve Fisher, his son and friends started the team then myself Stuart Neish took over in 1999 and added a few players myself, we stayed in the lower leagues ( divs 8 & 9) for quite a while but somehow we started to string a few wins together and got promoted to the heights of div 5 where we kept bouncing from there and down to 6 and back up. We now have been stable in div 5 for 2 seasons and have a good mix of youth and experience and hope to consolidate us in the higher reaches of div 5 or even pushing for promotion this season
