Anorthosis Famagusta FC

Anorthosis Famagusta FC is a Cypriot football club based in Larnaca. Founded in 1911, they are one of the most successful clubs in Cypriot football, having won 13 First Division titles, 10 Cypriot Cups and seven Super Cups.

History

Anorthosis was founded in Famagusta in 1911. The club was originally based at the GSP Stadium in Nicosia, but after the Turkish invasion of Cyprus in 1974, they were forced to relocate to Larnaca.

Anorthosis won their first First Division title in 1950. They have since won the league a further 12 times, most recently in 2022. They have also won the Cypriot Cup 10 times, most recently in 2021.

Anorthosis have also competed in European competition on a number of occasions. They reached the UEFA Champions League group stage in 1996-97 and 2008-09.
