Ashover Juniors Football Club U16s

Ashover Juniors Football Club U16s are a Junior football team made up of 19 team members.

The team is from Derbyshire, England, United Kingdom and play in the Rowsley And District Youth Fottball League Division 2.

Ashover Juniors Football Club U16s started using TeamStats in August 2010 and so far have created match reports and statistics for 102 games.

Ashover Juniors U14's were originally formed in 2007 by parents Andy Knowles and Colin Dronfield. The team began training on Ashover's cricket pitch with summer training, and then entered the RDYFL Mini Soccer programme at Cavendish Fields, Matlock.

Prior to this they were known as 'Ashover Bullets' and played for 2 seasons in the Mini Soccer League before moving to an U11's 9 a'side league as AJFC.

Sadly Colin Dronfield left the club mid season with his son George, leaving Andy to run the team, in addition to managing AJFC's U14 team. The season finished brightly for Ashover as they ended half way up the league and in good footballing spirits.

Off season saw frantic re-organisation of management with Jeff Madin, Tony Marshall and Andrew Moss forming a formidable team of managers, coaches and administrators in readiness for the new 2011-12 season.

As the 2012-2013 season kicks off the following players remain from the start up team of 2007: James Norman, Josh Buckley, Sam Harvey, Ben Roche, Charlie Knowles, Connor Sanderson and Vincent Marshall.

Initial thoughts are that the new AJFC U14 team will be a strong one and will develop into a tight, tactical team successful in the RDYFL.
