Athletico Ascot began their first season of football as a newly formed team in 2010 competing in Division Four of the Camberley and District Sunday League

The team was formed from a few friends with a passion to play football, once a week they would meet at Goaters Road, Ascot. Small games soon became large matches and after time a regular and passionate group felt like a football team.

After a succsefull first season and narrowly missing out on promotion Athletico Ascot secured a home ground at South Ascot Rec for season 2011/2012. Pre-season started well with Ascot winning the local parish sheild, they went on to win both the Div 3 league and the Div 3 cup.

Following Ascots treble success in 2011/12 - Ascot were promoted to Div 2. with Steve Cox and Martin Keeley stepping up as Managers to guide Ascot through what should be a much tougher season.

Going into their third season and thriving on confidence Ascot are looking for more Glory, another good pre-season although unfortunatley unable to retain the parish sheild loosing on penalties in the final.

A seaon much tougher than the last, Ascot still managed to secure Runners up in Div 2. narrowly missing out on the title to old rivals Lightwater Pumas. Due to succesful cup runs and dominating the league, both Ascot and Lightwater were promoted to CDSFL Premier Div.

A respectable league position would be acceptable but Ascot belive they can push for more. A new home ground has also been secured for Ascots season in the premier - Ascot will now play at Victory Feilds, Ascot.

History

Athletico Ascot were formed in 2010 and began playing in Division Four of the Camberley and District Sunday League. They won promotion to Division Three in their first season and then won the Division Three league and cup in 2011-12. This earned them promotion to Division Two, where they finished runners-up in 2012-13. In 2013-14, they were promoted to the Premier Division for the first time.

Current season

Athletico Ascot are currently in their ninth season in the Premier Division. They finished in 10th place in 2022-23.
