Bridgwater United Women's Football Club are an English women's association football club based in Bridgwater, Somerset. They were founded in 1990 as Yetminster Ladies, and have since played under the names Sherborne Ladies, Yeovil Town Ladies, and Yeovil United. The club currently play in the FA Women's National League Division One South West.
The club's home ground is Fairfax Park, which has a capacity of 1,000. The current manager is Adam Murry, who is assisted by Kevin Braybrook.
History
- The club was founded in 1990 by Tony Baverstock as Yetminster Ladies.
- The club was renamed Sherborne Ladies in 1993.
- In 1997, the club reached the 4th Round of the Women's FA Cup, where they were knocked out by Everton.
- The club was renamed Yeovil Town Ladies in 1999.
- The club was renamed Bridgwater United Women's Football Club in 2015.
Recent seasons
Bridgwater United Women's Football Club have been competing in the FA Women's National League Division One South West since the 2015-16 season. They have finished in the top half of the table in each of the last three seasons.
Football League Youth Alliance - Devon Clubs
Bridgwater United Women's Football Club also compete in the Football League Youth Alliance - Devon Clubs. This is a regional league for under-18 girls' teams. The club has won the league title on two occasions, in 2017-18 and 2018-19.
