History
Caerphilly Athletic FC was founded in 2008 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The club started out in the Caerphilly & District League and quickly rose through the divisions. In 2015, the club won promotion to the South Wales Alliance League.
The club has enjoyed a good degree of success in recent years. In 2016, they reached the final of the South Wales Alliance Cup, but lost to AFC Penrhiwceiber. In 2019, they won the South Wales Alliance League Cup.

Caerphilly Athletic FC plays its home games at Ynys Park, Caerphilly. The ground has a capacity of 500 spectators.
