CASNATESE Football Club is a football club based in Casnate Con Bernate, Italy. The club was founded in 1972 and currently plays in the Prima Categoria, the sixth tier of Italian football.
History
CASNATESE Football Club was founded in 1972 by the merger of two local clubs, Polisportiva Casnatese and A.C. Bernate. The club's first season was in the Terza Categoria, the ninth tier of Italian football. The club won promotion to the Seconda Categoria in 1974 and to the Prima Categoria in 1977.
CASNATESE Football Club spent the next few decades yo-yoing between the Prima Categoria and the Seconda Categoria. The club's most successful period was in the early 2000s, when they won promotion to the Eccellenza in 2002 and to the Promozione in 2005.
The club was relegated back to the Prima Categoria in 2010 and has remained there ever since.
