East Thurrock United Football Club
East Thurrock United Football Club is a football club based in Corringham, Essex, England. They are currently members of the Isthmian League North Division, the eighth tier of English football, and play at Rookery Hill.
History
The club was founded in 1969 and originally played in the Essex Senior League. They won the league in 1983 and 1984, and were promoted to the Isthmian League. The club remained in the Isthmian League for the next 25 years, and reached the FA Cup first round in 1994-95.
In 2009, the club was promoted to the Conference South, the sixth tier of English football. They finished bottom of the league in their first season, but were reprieved from relegation due to the financial problems of other clubs. The club remained in the Conference South for the next four seasons, and reached the FA Trophy final in 2014-15.
In 2018, the club was relegated back to the Isthmian League. They won the Essex Senior Cup in 2019, but were placed into liquidation in September 2023 due to historic debts. The club was reformed and started the 2023-24 season in the Isthmian League North Division.
