Finnigans FC is a football team based in Wallasey, Merseyside. The club was founded in 1922 and currently plays in the West Cheshire League Division One.
History
Finnigans FC was founded in 1922 by a group of friends who met at the Finnigans Hotel in Wallasey. The club initially played in the Wallasey & District League, before moving to the West Cheshire League in 1930.
Finnigans FC enjoyed their most successful period in the 1950s, when they won the West Cheshire League title three times. The club also reached the final of the Liverpool Senior Cup in 1954, but lost to Everton Reserves.
Finnigans FC have continued to play in the West Cheshire League ever since. The club's most recent success came in 2019, when they won the West Cheshire League Division Two title.
Ground
Finnigans FC play their home games at Priory Road, Wallasey. The ground has a capacity of 1,000 spectators.
