FK Pavilnys is a Lithuanian football (soccer) team from the town of Pavilnys. The team was founded in 1966 and currently plays in the II Lyga, the second tier of Lithuanian football.
History
FK Pavilnys has spent most of its history in the lower leagues of Lithuanian football. The team's most successful period came in the early 1990s, when they won the III Lyga in 1990 and 1991. FK Pavilnys also reached the final of the Lithuanian Cup in 1991, but they lost to FK Žalgiris Vilnius.
In recent years, FK Pavilnys has struggled to compete in the II Lyga. The team has finished in the bottom half of the table in each of the last five seasons. However, FK Pavilnys is hoping to improve in the coming years and eventually reach the top flight of Lithuanian football, the A Lyga.
