Forward Golyanovo was founded in 1928 as a workers' team. The team quickly rose through the ranks of Soviet football, reaching the Soviet Second League in 1946. The team remained in the Second League until 1960, when it was relegated to the Third League.
Forward Golyanovo remained in the Third League until 1991, when the Soviet Union collapsed. The team then competed in the Russian Second League until 1997, when it was relegated to the Third League.
The team has been playing in the Moscow Oblast Football League since 1997. The team's best finish in the league was in 2018, when it finished in second place.
