The team was founded in 1998 by Les Stroud and a group of other dads whose children had become bored watching them play football. The team originally played as Keynsham Wanderers, but changed their name to Fry Club Colts in 1998.

The team has won several trophies in their history, including the Avon Youth League Cup in 2006 and 2011. They have also been runners-up in the league on several occasions.
