Gaza Stars Football Club

Gaza Stars Football Club is a Dubai-based football club founded in 2012 by a group of Palestinian refugees. The club is named after the Gaza Strip, the Palestinian territory from which many of the club's players and fans originate.

Gaza Stars currently competes in the UAE Division Two League, the third tier of football in the United Arab Emirates. The club has never won a major trophy, but it has finished as runners-up in the UAE Division Two League on two occasions.

History

Gaza Stars results

Gaza Stars Football Club was founded in 2012 by a group of Palestinian refugees who had settled in Dubai. The club's first chairman was Abed Rabbo Abu Rahma, a former Palestinian footballer who had played for Al-Ahly and Al-Shabab in the Gaza Strip.

Gaza Stars began playing in the UAE Division Three League in the 2012-13 season. The club finished the season in third place, narrowly missing out on promotion to the UAE Division Two League.

In the 2013-14 season, Gaza Stars finished the season as champions of the UAE Division Three League, earning promotion to the UAE Division Two League. The club has remained in the UAE Division Two League ever since.

Recent Season

In the 2022-23 season, Gaza Stars finished the season in fifth place in the UAE Division Two League. The club's top scorer was Mohammed Abu Bakr, who scored 10 goals.
