Golden Kathmandu FC is a Nepali football club based in Kathmandu. The club was founded in 2002 and currently competes in the Martyr's Memorial A-Division League, the top tier of Nepali football.
History
Golden Kathmandu FC was founded in 2002 by a group of football enthusiasts in Kathmandu. The club's first major success came in 2005, when they won the Martyr's Memorial B-Division League. This promotion to the Martyr's Memorial A-Division League was the first time that a team from Kathmandu had won promotion to the top tier of Nepali football.
Golden Kathmandu FC has since established itself as a top club in Nepali football. They have won the Martyr's Memorial A-Division League on three occasions, in 2009, 2011, and 2013. They have also won the Nepal National League on two occasions, in 2010 and 2012.
