- Lunt FC was founded in 1948 by a group of friends who met at Lunt's Mill, a local factory.
- The club's first home ground was at Lunt's Field, which was located in the Dingle area of Liverpool.
- In 1962, Lunt FC moved to its current home ground, Lunt Park, which is located in the Wavertree area of Liverpool.
- The club's most successful period was in the 1970s, when it won the Liverpool County Premier League on three occasions.
- Lunt FC has also won the Liverpool Senior Cup on two occasions, in 1982 and 2004.
