Hertford United FC is a football club based in Hertford, Hertfordshire, England. They are currently members of the Herts Senior County League Premier Division.
History
The club was founded in 1901 as Port Vale Rovers, but were soon renamed Hertford Football Club to gain recognition as the town's main club. Following a merger with Hertford United, the club was renamed Hertford Town in 1908.
The club has spent most of its history in the lower amateur leagues. However, they did reach the FA Cup first round in 1950-51, losing 3-0 to Luton Town.
In recent years, the club has been more successful, winning the Herts Senior County League Premier Division in 2019-20.
