Hickleton Harriers JFC was founded in 1968 by a group of local parents. The team initially competed in the Sheffield & District Junior Football League, but moved to the South Yorkshire Junior Football League in 1972.
The team has won a number of trophies over the years, including the South Yorkshire Junior Football League Cup in 1978 and 1982. Hickleton Harriers JFC has also produced a number of talented players, including former Sheffield United and England international Phil Jagielka.
