HIMUL XI Football Team

HIMUL XI is a football team based in Siliguri, West Bengal, India. The team was founded in 1948 and is named after the Himachal Club, a social club in Siliguri.

HIMUL XI has won the Siliguri League a record 21 times, and has also won the Darjeeling League on four occasions. The team has also represented West Bengal in the Santosh Trophy, the national football championship of India, on several occasions.

History

HIMUL XI results

HIMUL XI was founded in 1948 by a group of young footballers in Siliguri. The team's first president was Suresh Chandra Guha, and the first secretary was Bhupendranath Chakraborty.

HIMUL XI quickly established itself as one of the top football teams in Siliguri. The team won its first Siliguri League title in 1950, and has since won the title a further 20 times.

HIMUL XI has also won the Darjeeling League on four occasions, and has represented West Bengal in the Santosh Trophy on several occasions.

  • Pranab Dasgupta: Dasgupta is a former Indian international footballer who played as a defender. He is the current coach of HIMUL XI.
