Grimsby Town Football Club is a professional football club based in Cleethorpes, North East Lincolnshire, England, that competes in EFL League Two, the fourth tier of the English football league system.
The club was founded in 1878 as Grimsby Pelham Football Club, and changed its name to Grimsby Town a year later. They moved to their current stadium, Blundell Park, in 1898.
Grimsby Town is the most successful team of the three professional clubs in historic Lincolnshire, being the only one to play top-flight English football. They reached the FA Cup semi-finals in 1930 and 1939.
