Leo Football Club was founded in 1946 by a group of friends who wanted to play football in Bermondsey. The club started out playing in local leagues and gradually moved up the divisions. In 1992, the club joined the Greater London Football League.
Leo Football Club has won the Greater London Football League Division One twice, in 2006 and 2016. The club has also reached the final of the London FA Intermediate Cup on two occasions, in 2007 and 2017.
